Customer competition

Every competition has to have rules and ours reflect the best practice of The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and their Advertising Guidance on Promotions with prizes (non-broadcast), the important bits of which are as follows:

This competition is open to UK mainland residents aged 18 or over only. Employees of Johnson's Veterinary Products and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

To enter, participants must register their details via the competition entry form on this page, accessed via QR code in a participating National Pet Shop Day retailer on Saturday 11th July 2026. Entries submitted outside of this window will not be valid.

The competition opens at 00:01 on Saturday 11th July 2026 and closes at 23:59 on the same day. Entries received outside of these times will not be considered.

There is no cost to enter and no proof of purchase is required. There is no cash alternative to the prize of one £500 gift voucher redeemable against a pet-friendly holiday with PetsPyjamas.

One entry per person. Multiple entries from the same individual will be disqualified.

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received within the competition window. The draw will take place within two weeks of the closing date.

 

Retailer competition

Whilst there is no cost to enter the competition and no proof of purchase is required, there is no cash alternative to the prize of £500 gift vouchers.

The competition is only open to pet product retailers based on the UK mainland. The photograph must be of an activity undertaken or hosted by a business that you currently own, work on behalf of, or are working in conjunction with. There is no restriction to the number of photographs you can enter.

We will judge the competition and award the prize to the retailers who have best entered into the spirit of National Pet Shop Day. This will be in the most inventive, spectacular or engaging way possible, not necessarily the most photogenic. The winners will be the shops/stores/outlets that really committed to the cause with the resource or space they had available.

If it just so happens that you wins a prize, we’ll notify you by email, within two weeks of the closing date – when we’ve had time to appraise all the photos.

We will announce the winner on our website and across our social media channels, so please bear this in mind when uploading your photos – no expensive cars or gadgets in the background!

By entering our competition you are transferring the copyright of the picture(s) to us. Please understand we will retain the right to use the photograph(s) in future marketing activities for and on behalf of Johnson’s, including publication in press materials, on social media, and another online channels.

We hope that all makes sense, but if you have any concerns about the competition, the prize or how we might use a photo of your promotional display, please don’t enter. It will save a lot of worry for everyone.

 

10% Discount off Johnson's Veterinary Products Stock

As a thank you for registering your interest in National Pet Shop Day 2026 before the 25th May deadline, all eligible retailers will receive a one-time 10% discount off a single order of Johnson's Veterinary Products stock.

One discount code will be issued per registered retail business. To redeem, simply add your unique code to the comments field when placing your online order and the discount will be deducted from your invoice. The order must to be subject to our MOV/MOQ of 20 packs or £200. If you are an existing customer please speak with your local area sales representative. 

Discount codes will be issued following confirmation of registration. Codes are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Johnson's Veterinary Products reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time without prior notice.
